Math-2 days a week, money bag game, online drill practice
Science-working in garden, watering garden. Studying aboriginals in BC and the changes in their living due to seasons. Reading books on natives in North America. Made a chart to show the differences in each season. The kids drew pictures and cut pictures out of magazines.
Reading and learning about Aboriginal people of BC, charting the effects of seasons on the people and their lifestyle.
Social Studies-reading books about BC. Learning some symbols of BC: eg. animal-spirit bear, flower-dogwood, capital city-Victoria, tree-red dogwood
Community study-Borrowed the Community Unit study from Heritage library. Studied careers, family through books and activities
Read aloud 1-2 hours a day.
Walks, bike rides, nature study. Visited Hat Creek.
