Helping with our church's Bethlehem Star. We are volunteering on the Friday night and Sunday afternoon.
The kids have been learning a lot about caring for the elderly. We have had 99 year old Gigi year to stay some nights with us and have visited the seniors home most days.

We discovered a lost kitten. The kids all worked together to help care for the kitten. We made a poster and the kids put them up at the mailboxes and also went around to some of the neighbours to ask if they lost a kitten. We received a phone call answering the poster and were able to reunite the kitten with it's owner. The kids were very sad to see the kitten go but were happy that they helped out.

Learning to sew (the younger boys) and creating ice skate ornaments.

Each of the kids has chosen a Christmas recipe and is making the goodies for the family.

Career Education
-The kids have been getting $2 a week to spend/save as they wish. (usually spend:) For the month of December we decided that nobody would receive allowance and instead they received $15 to buy a christmas gift for the sibling whose name they drew. The kids had so much fun getting to go out shopping alone, or in small groups to buy a gift that they know their siblings will love. The difficult part will be waiting for Christmas!
Fine Arts
The younger three visited the art gallery. They studied a local artist's work (Kevin Spetifore) and then created art of their own.
