Math- Aiden 3 lessons. We worked on adding 10 to a number and adding 100 to a number. Aiden did very well with this if he could use the place value cards. Some questions were more difficult than others. eg. 4 + 10 vs. 1024 + 10. We reviewed time to the hour and half past the hour.
Caileigh- played some odd and even games. Played the "one more" game.

Bible- Read a biblical story on Easter. We painted cross pictures using masking tape to mark out the cross and then peeling it off once the picture was painted.
Leading little ones to God.
Listened to Adventures in Odyssey.

Language Arts- Daily reading and writing practice. letter writing, card making, copywork. Read aloud Box Car Children #11.

Social Studies- Went through 3 map lessons this week. Also followed up with a game from National Geographic that reinforced map reading.

Science- Read books on rocks. Aiden continues to study and enjoy rocks. He took a hammer and experimented to see which rock would break up into smaller rocks and which rocks were solid. He is creating an area of the yard to keep all his rocks and calls it his mine. We signed up for Brain Pop's 5 day trial and watched all the videos about rocks/minerals and the earth. Went through a couple of the quizzes.

Life Skills- With a little help, the kids made dinner.

We went downtown and the kids and I went shopping and then went out for coffee. We practiced our manners and public behavior skills.
Crafts- The kids blew eggs and then decorated them. The kids painted flower pots. We made wrapping paper.

PE- Several hours of outdoor play each day. Walks, running, climbing. Aiden is such a planner and organizer. He has set himself up with a self imposed soccer practice schedule. He wants to dictate it to me so that I can write it up on the fridge for him.

Activities- 3 playdates! The kids have so much fun with their friends. They each act out a character from the Box Car Children during their time together. It is so funny to hear them call each other "Violet" and "Benny". They have started to write emails back and forth during the week. It is so sweet! Here is an example of an email passed between them.....
