Country Project
-Caileigh is chosing a different country each week to study. She will be cooking/baking with recipes from each country and doing a mini study with note booking pages. She wants to put the information together to create a book.
First country-Uganda.
-Researched simple facts about Uganda.
-Found Ugandan recipe. Created shopping list. Bought ingredients. Made the Mandazi. Shared with the family.
Wrote note booking pages on the findings.
Second country-New Zealand
Health Career
Caileigh started a small business doing baking and odd jobs.
Caileigh fills baking orders each week. Her specialty is cookies. She has a book in which she keeps track of her orders and the money she is earning.
Caileigh has been on 3 small jobs helping neighbours with yard work.
Caileigh created a flyer to advertise baking lessons.
She booked four students for a baking class for July 11.
She gave the group a talk about kitchen safety and tips and then led each group through the process of making anzac biscuits. The session went so well she is planning to host her baking class each month.
September 2-Caileigh taught a second baking class and the kids made chocolate chip muffins.
Caileigh organized a group of children aged 5 and under and spent three hours doing "preschool" activities. She did crafts, read books, engaged them in imaginative play, made snack etc.
-Discussion and worksheet on emotions. Ties in with our study in Apologia Bible.
