Alex-Term 3

-Alex attends Kids Club and Sunday School weekly
-Creating Easter pictures for the residents of the seniors home

Math-Completed Singapore 3A and B

Alex completed the first test of Saxon 5/4 and received 22/22

English

-Daily Journal Writing-starting with 2 sentences daily.  Adding in descriptive words and details and then will progress to 3 sentences-working up to a paragraph several times a week.

Alex learned about haikus and wrote two of his own

-wrote a short science report

-writing a short story

Speech Therapy-every two weeks-homework, reading stories with "r" components, answering questions based on the story.

We created a Venn Diagram showing the similarities and differences between the African Bushmen and us in Canada relating to social structure.

Alex knitted his stuffy a sleeping bag





















I gave the younger three a cake decorating challenge.  They first drew their designs on paper.  We had a vote on what they thought the best design was.  The kids then got to design a second idea to go along with the winner's design.  The final step was for the kids to decorate 3 cupcakes each, and decorate the large cake together.

Alex is learning Archery each week at Kids Club.

Mikayla gave the boys a fitness class and taught them about the FITT principle.

-Alex has completed Faber level 2A and has moved to Faber level 2B

-Alex plays the piano at the seniors home.
