-Creating Zip Line racers. Each boy choose a particular design to make and then tested it on a flat surface. They couldn't get their racers to work so they moved to an inlined race track. This allowed the racers to work. They then decided to test a second design. After testing this design they moved back to a straight race track and discovered that they could get their designs to work by twisting the propellers a certain way. Initially they thought this mechanism was broken because they were twisting the elastic mechanism the wrong way. Alex realized that his second design was too heavy so he moved back to his first design the boys were able to race their zipline racers together. This whole process took a couple of hours and required a lot of testing and adapting.
-Boys help deliver newspapers once a week and are earning $20 a month. They are learning to save at least half their earnings. Paper route ended October 4

-Aiden applied to work at Opa's restaurant in our local mall food court.
He had to write a resume and undergo an interview.
Aiden received the job and will be undergoing job training including Food Safe and online training related specifically to Opas.
-Aiden worked over 20 hours a week for several weeks during the summer and is now working 2-4 days each week. Aiden has been learning about customer service, food preparation and much more.

Aiden scooters for a minimum of an hour each day. He has been spending time at the skate park teaching younger kids tricks and mentoring them through encouragement and buying them little treats like drinks. Aiden enjoys exploring Vernon on his scooter.

-Creating Zip Line racers. Each boy choose a particular design to make and then tested it on a flat surface. They couldn't get their racers to work so they moved to an inlined race track. This allowed the racers to work. They then decided to test a second design. After testing this design they moved back to a straight race track and discovered that they could get their designs to work by twisting the propellers a certain way. Initially they thought this mechanism was broken because they were twisting the elastic mechanism the wrong way. Alex realized that his second design was too heavy so he moved back to his first design the boys were able to race their zipline racers together. This whole process took a couple of hours and required a lot of testing and adapting.

Half Pipe Wood Working Project
Aiden's friend Matt needed to complete a math project using a specific formula and then creating something based off it. The boys decided to use Matt's formula and build a half pipe wood ramp. They had to make a plan, purchase the materials and build the half pipe. They worked entirely independently except for receiving some input on how to make the brace more effective.
