Math-Completed 4 lessons this week.

Our challenge in math is that Aiden's math competency is far greater than his ability to legibly write out the problems. He can solve problems quickly in his head and then needs to slow down to write out the answers.

We are practicing writing clear numbers during our printing practice.

Reading-Daily practice through beginner readers, raz kids.

Language Arts- Continuing to work on poetry. Aiden wrote a bit more on his adventure story.

For read alouds we read two Canadian Flyer chapter books as well as our weekly library selection. Aiden loves listening to Little House on the Prairie audio CD's as well as Jonathan Park Christian Creationism audio CD adventures.

Bible-Aiden's Sunday School is memorizing John 3:16-18 as a challenge. They are working together to have the passage memorized by March. We reviewed John 3:16 this week. We are continuing to work through "Leading little Ones to God."

Science-Continuing with our "Animal of the Day".

Looked through the microscope and studied a few other specimens. This week I wrote out some of aiden's observations for him. I had to laugh when he had me write, "When you see the sugar crystals you might say "whoa" because it is so cool."

Life Skills-Aiden read, "Franklin's cookies" and then read and followed the recipe in the book to make Chocolate Chip cookies. Aiden also learned to make scrambled eggs. I guided and supervised but he did it on his own. We are hoping to continue to add skills each week. They made their own sandwiches for lunch today.

Activities-Library, making ice decorations for outside. This was easy to do with temperatures

-18 all week!

PE- Daily outdoor play, snow shoveling, "run around the playroom" chase, sledding.
