Math-

Aiden spent some time with patterns. eg. 305, 310, 315 etc. or 425, 450, 475 etc.

Aiden is working on adding 4 digit numbers using trading. He was also able to solve equations with 7 digits using the same concepts.

Caileigh is continuing with practicing addition facts. Also working with counting by 2's.

Language Arts Daily printing practice, card making.

We made "Thanksgiving Turkeys" and wrote what we are thankful for. We listed things like God, family, Lego and oatmeal!

Daily reading practice. Raz kids.

Continuing with work on nouns. Poem memorization. The kids have now memorized two. I will videotape them reciting them.

Read aloud- Box Car Children.

Science We reviewed habitats.

We played a game about the "food cycle".

We made a chart by cutting pictures out of magazines and putting them on the "living" or "non-living" paper.

We reviewed life cycles and cut and pasted some life cycles on dinosaurs, birds and butterflies.

Social Studies -We read The Story of the World and the kids narrated their learning. It was about Hammurabi's Code.

We worked on a page from our map book dealing with using a Key or Legend.

LifeSkills-The kids chopped apples to make applesauce.

The kids sewed my bedskirt back on where it had torn.

Health and Career-We spent an afternoon playing boardgames. One game is called "Safetyville". It asks questions regarding poison safety, stranger safety and other safety issues.

We enjoyed out of town guests. Gigi (94) and Poppa (96) and Grandma (undisclosed) visited us for a few days. We celebrated Poppas birthday and enjoyed getting to spend time with some amazing individuals!! We are now praying for Poppa who is in hospital with pneumonia.
