Aiden and Caileigh both read their first Geronimo Stilton chapter book independently! We went to the library and picked up 6 more because they are hooked.

Science-

Continuing with our study on grasslands. Looked into various animal life from this habitat. Studied garter snakes and made a habitat diorama.

Colored a map showing grasslands.

Created a life cycle chart for snakes.

Social Studies-

Story of the World studying ancient chinese.

Learned about silk worms and watched videos on youtube of people making silk.

Made clay bowls and painted them to look like ancient chinese pottery.

Art-

The kids painted pictures from looking at real pictures. Learning that artists can make their paintings from photos.

PE-

With Sean's hair pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month, the kids have been learning about how we can help to raise money for causes such as this. They helped prepare cupcakes for a bake sale and we did our part by going to it and buying more :) The kids even dyed their hair too. (it came out in the wash!)
