Physical Education: Outside play! Swimming, bike riding, walking.
Math: 3 lessons: 10 Triangle, zero and 100.
Reading: Daily practice, magnetic letters, raz-kids website!
Printing: daily practice
Bible: devotions, scripture memorization
Science: collecting items from the beach and drawing pictures of them. Observing them under the magnifying glass. Making "secret code" messages using white paper, white crayon and paint.
Art: gluing leaves onto pictures. Fingerpainting!
Language Arts: discussing people from pioneer times. Reading 3 books from the library discussing pioneers. 1/2 way through reading "little house on the prairie".
Dramatic Play: Engaging in many hours of "little house on the prairie" play. I now respond to "ma" and Aiden to "charles" or "pa".
Sean was off 3 mornings this week and it made a tremendous difference having him here to watch Mikayla while the older two did their studies. Aiden was so focused and motivated during his lessons. We are going to utilize Sean's 2 days off and his 1 late shift to get 3 math lessons completed each week. Will use the other days to work on 1/2 lessons each day. language arts, reading will continue to be afternoon activities.
