Math- lessons 13, 14, 15
Printing practice- daily
Reading- bob books, lessons with magnetic letters, continuing with "little house on the prairie".
Bible- Scripture memorization, respect God and others
Science- Changing liquids to solids -experiment. Sean and Aiden had a discussion about which cup at the dinner table could hold more liquid. One was tall and narrow and the other short and wide. Aiden guessed that the taller cup would hold more. They measured water into both and discovered that it was the shorter cup that held more liquid. They discussed volume.
Reading books about rocks and minerals. Aiden has been interested in limestone. We learned some interesting facts.
Field Trips- We had a "Fall Party" at the park. We went to our weekly library story time and then had a picnic. We read books while we had lunch.
We went to the museum. When we came home the kids drew pictures of their favorite thing. Aiden was fascinated with a dinosaur bone and seeing a real gun from World War 2. They followed a scavenger hunt through the museum looking for hidden hands.
Art- Made pictures with dry leaves that we picked the week prior.
Physical Education- Swimming, park play, outside play.
