This week started off with the stomach flu. We have carried on with school as we felt well.

Math Caileigh-Completed her 9 week test! She solved 4 digit addition with the use of manipulatives. Worked with addition and subtraction.

Aiden-Working through various subtraction strategies. Completing review sheets.

Bible -Review of past scriptures. For the memorization challenge, we have 20 scriptures memorized but we get references mixed up with one another so we are working on that. Bible Reading. Leading Little ones to God.

Language Arts -Card making, copywork, Write About Me. I gave the kids a picture and they dictated a story to me to go with the picture.

Grammar-discussing abbreviations of months. Learning the 3 months of winter.

Science Reading comprehension on migration.

The kids started a new research project. Aiden is researching wolves, and Caileigh dolphins. They are reading books and watching videos (discovery education, brain pop, you tube) to gain their information. We have been working towards putting their information down in a lap book style. Things like classifying, food the animal eats, comparing different types, etc.

We watched a documentary on wolves.

History Map worksheet.

We read through 5 chapters this week. We have been learning about ancient china, and Julius Caesar. We received the next book in the set so we are excited to start with that soon.
