-It has been Jordan's goal to help the homeless for sometime now. Through much brainstorming and discussion on the safest way to help out, we were able to arrange to have 6 individuals that are currently homeless in Vernon meet us at the downtown Safeway. We were able to create 6 bags full of sandwiches, cookies, muffin, drink, pepperoni, candy, handwarmers, Tim Hortons gift card and hand written notes. Jordan was so pleased that he was able to help out. We are brainstorming ways that we could help further in the future.

West and Windy by Courtenay Kasper

-Our previous neighbour from 108 Mile has written another book. Alex, Jordan and Mikayla have been enjoying listening to the story as our current read-aloud. The kids drew pictures to go with the story and then sent them to the author who will be putting them on her webpage. The kids are thinking through questions that they will be asking her when we interview her on FaceTime in the new year. Questions like, "How do you get your ideas for the stories?" etc.
