Read The Oak Tree. Saw how communities have changed over the last 150 years. Discussed the various ways in which they have changed, eg. transportation, housing etc.
Watched videos on Discovery Education learning about different cultures. Discussed cultures and traditions of our family vs. others.
-Learned about life in the past. We visited Fort Langley and completed 5 activities of the fur trade eg. making barrels, making iron sculptures, panning for gold, carrying fur bales and pretending to trade at the store, etc.
