-comparing lifestyle of Inuit people and people from BC. Worksheets comparing needs with Inuit people and life in Vancouver vs. Iqualuit.
Watched videos on Discovery Education learning about different cultures. Discussed cultures and traditions of our family vs. others.
Discussing cultures from south America, Africa, China, India, etc.
Helped the boys create a map of 100 Mile House.

-map vs. globes
-defintions of the earth eg. equator, hemisphere etc.
-Canada's provinces and territories
-Missing province names
-Canada crossword
-We visited Fort Langley and completed 5 activities of the fur trade eg. making barrels, making iron sculptures, panning for gold, carrying fur bales and pretending to trade at the store, etc.
Science
Watched Brain Pop Jr. on migration, hibernation.
Completed worksheet on several animals and their migration route eg. caribou, whales, salmon, butterflies.
Watched Magic School Bus video on the migration of butterflies.
Researched animals on Pebble Go. Choose two animals to do comparison research on. Mikayla choose earth worms and falcons.
Wrote simple facts about each.
Listed differences and similarities using a Venn Diagram.
Read The Cycles of Life Hibernation. Mikayla created a note booking page on the hibernation of a woodchuck.
Completed a Pebble Go research paper independently. Mikayla had to read the information and then transfer to her sheet.
Health and Career
Cooking Class. Making Chicken Ranch Casserole.
Followed a recipe and made the family pumpkin pie.
